Snowboard Gear Shop Tracking Mobile App

User Experience Design Project
Project Overview
This project aims to design a convenient order tracking app for an online snowboard gear store.
The story
I started this project in November 2021. From coming up with the idea, conducting user interviews, creating personas, ideating, to creating low-fi wireframes, I have been learning skills in the fields of UX/UI design and picking up the necessary skillsets on the way. I am currently in the phase of developing low-fi wireframes.

To find out more about the processes and difficulties users face when tracking orders and accessing customer support, I conducted interviews with 4 users.

I asked interviewees questions like:

  • For how long have you been snowboarding?
  • What is your frequency of online shopping?
  • What are some difficulties, if any, that you faced when tracking your order?
  • Is there any way in which you feel these difficulties can be addressed?
  • Can you describe your experience of accessing customer services?
After analyzing the results, I compiled my findings into painpoints and user personas.

I also conducted a competitive audit to gather good ideas and bad designs to avoid.
Then, I entered the ideation phase. I used Crazy 8's and Big Picture Storyboard to gather ideas. I also analyzed the practicality of each design.
I sketched out wireframes representing multiple possibilities of designs for each page. I analyzed the benefits and drawbacks of each design and compiled an optimal version for each page.
I transferred wireframes into Figma and turned them into low-Fi prototypes.
